Meeting Minutes from November 8, 2018 held at Sol de Mexico.

The meeting was called to order by President Andy Fix.

Members Present:  Andy Fix, Bob Williams, Ken Flanum, Mike Perry, Bill Bott, Kevin & Maricruz Raszeja, Russ & Brigid Knudsen and family.

Treasurer’s Report:  Treasurer’s report was handed out and approved as submitted.

Secretary Report:   October minutes approved as sent.

Waukesha County:  We host the January 9th meeting.

Raffle tickets (2 books) were sent out to each club member.  Bob Williams will go to WCSA meeting next Wednesday (they are having a Trail Boss Meeting).  Bob will pick up 250 more raffle tickets from Andy Slaby and the speed limit signs.  Cheryl is set up as SNARS rep and will be entering info for the club.

We are still looking for anyone else to attend WCSA meetings.  If anyone is interested in going next week with Bob, he will drive and you can see what it’s all about.

Sunshine:  None

Fundraising:  We are refurbishing and redoing the billboard on the drag.  Sol de Mexico is getting a free ad for allowing us to have meetings there.  Signs and Lines by Stretch is working with us to have it ready for the Midnight Magic Parade.  Mike Perry will pull the drag in the parade.  It was decided not to rewire the drag for lights as previously discussed.  Cheryl to send thank you cards to advertisers on the drag with photo.

It was suggested to cover billboard in Spring to keep the sun from fading it.

New Business:

Land owner gift certificates.  We are going to do the same amount as last year.  Ken and Andy to compare list to make sure all landowners are updated.

Food Pantry:  $100 donations to each one.  Motion made to do the same as last year.  Seconded.

Changing Banks:  Ken suggesting to switch banks because of the $10 service charge each month.   Ken to check with the bank to see if they can eliminate service charge and will report back in December.

Club Promotion:  What are we doing to advertise to the younger generation?  How do we get more people involved?  Business cards?  T-shirts?  Advertise at McDonald’s, Culvers, etc.  Word of mouth and exposure.  Facebook?  Banners on the park fence?  Signs coming into town?  Website?  Bring your suggestions to the next meeting or email ideas.

Pictures of events and putting in trail can be texted to Cheryl at 262-347-5752 or emailed.

Old Business:

Midnight Magic parade sign up.  Ken to give Andy a check to take to the Chamber of Commerce.

Trails:  Dewey property has been sold.  Ken to see if they can still use the land and get a landowner agreement.  Steinke farm property sold.  Maybe contact Eagle’s club to see how to contact them.

We will start putting in trails tomorrow, November 10 at 9:00 a.m. at the southwest corner of Hwy LO and Beulah Rd. We need to recruit some younger people to help and to learn the trails.  Cheryl will post on Facebook, the website and send an email.

Need new side windshield for tucker.  Take out and make a pattern.  Drop it off at Mike Perry’s work.

The next meeting is December 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Sol de Mexico.  Hope to see everyone there!

Trails are in!
